New support from MTQ for the PHRAGMITES Group

The Ministère des Transports du Québec (MTQ) has maintained, through the participation of many of its regional offices, its partnership with the PHRAGMITES Group thanks to a new 92 400$ research contract. This contract will allow the group to pursue and finalise the monitoring of the experimental shrub plantations in the roadway right of ways in southern Québec. We hope that these plantations will put the brakes on the proliferation of the common reed. The Ministère des Transports du Québec’s contribution to the group’s projects now totals 444 000$.
