New workshop planned by the PHRAGMITES Group to share recent research on the common reed

This workshop will present research related to climate change, the effectiveness of anti-reed shrub hedges and the filtering capabilities of reeds. The workshop may also include presentations by some organisations who have recently undertaken reed control operations.

Finally, research results on other invasive plants which share many characteristics with the common reed, such as japanese knotweed or giant hogweed, will also be presented. The exact date has not yet been set, but will probably be at the end of March or beginning of April 2013, at  Laval university (Québec). Modest registration fees will apply. The exact date and registration procedures will be communicated shortly.
